As a mother of two young children, Megan understands that good education is the backbone of a child’s development and she is ready to bring her experience to the School Board.

MEGAN
I have spent my career in education, building successful programs that help kids grow and learn right here in Baton Rouge. The school board is no different. When kids are put first, the results speak for themselves. It’s up to our leaders to provide them with the resources and safety they need to be successful adults in the future.
Behind every successful student, is a great teacher who supported and guided them along the way. That is why I support paying our teachers more, because they deserve it. Ensuring tax dollars are not wasted, allows us to put that money back into schools and attract better teachers and staff to improve the outcomes for our students.
Every student deserves an opportunity.
I’d love to see stronger partnerships between our schools, local businesses, industry, and higher education so students graduate with real opportunities waiting for them—not just a diploma.
I’m not running because I have all the answers.
I’m running because I believe our community has the talent, the heart, and the determination to build something even better together.
I’ve spent years building teams, solving problems, managing budgets, advocating for children, and bringing people together around a shared mission. Now I’m ready to bring that same mindset to District 1.
I believe parents deserve to be heard.
Teachers deserve to be supported.
Taxpayers deserve transparency and accountability.
Students deserve schools that prepare them for the future they’ll actually live in.
And I believe success shouldn’t be measured by only one destination.
For some students, that future is college.
For others, it’s technical education, skilled trades, apprenticeships, military service, entrepreneurship, or entering the workforce ready to succeed.
